Vali, is the avenger of Baldr and one of the Aesir gods in Norse mythology. He is described as "bold in battle and a good shot".
After the murder of Baldr, Odin overcame the Aesir goddess Rindr through cunning and magic and begat Vali with her. Only one day old, he took revenge on Hödr.
For the latter, deceived by Loki, had unintentionally shot Baldr with an arrow of mistletoe. Vali is also brother of Vidar and survivor of the Ragnarok.
