Viking warriors hoped to drink in Odin’s hall from the skulls of those they had slayed’. But as kenning suggests, Vikings actually drank from the horns of cattle or goats.
The cup is carefully polished, cleaned, and sealed inside and can be drunk safely. The bottoms of the cups are made out of wood pegged into place and then sealed on the inside to make it watertight with food-safe black lacquer. This sealing method is traditional in such cups. Each Mug is unique in shape and color and comes packaged in a burlap sack.
